WHO AM I:
I’m Ash, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Personal Trainer/Online Coach, and Nutrition Advisor. My goal is to educate and empower individuals to take charge of their body, by guiding them to become the healthiest, strongest, and most resilient versions of themselves, thereby unlocking their true potential.
I help people to build muscle, master their nutrition, lift effectively, and enhance their self-confidence.

Transitioning from a career in medical science to the realm of health and fitness, I seamlessly blended my passion for science and data with the pursuit of wellness.
Growing up, I was always active! Playing in various competitive sporting teams and later immersed myself with gym training. However, my early years in the gym was spent learning what not to do. I was stuck in endless cycles of fad diets, fasting phases, restrictive habits, over training with excessive cardio, and a lot of gym anxiety.
It wasn’t until I started my bodybuilding journey and pursued my goal of competing in a show where I learned the most about training, nutrition, and habit formation. I expanded my knowledge base and rectified the crucial errors I had been making. This transformation empowered me to step onto the bodybuilding stage with confidence and a newfound understanding of overall health and training.
Most importantly, I learnt that it doesn’t need to be complicated, there isn’t one “diet” you must adhere to, and the “perfect” training plan or exercises do not exist. Yes, I said it… There is no such thing as “perfect”. The secret to all of this is consistency and following a plan that has been personalised to you, your goals, and your lifestyle. You can have the most “perfect” plan in all areas. Although, if it isn’t realistic or if you aren’t able to follow it longer then 8 – 12 weeks, then I’m sorry but it’s a sh*t plan.
Recognising the time, it took to overcome my personal challenges, my goal now is to help you navigate your fitness journey more efficiently. As the founder of AJHealth & Fitness, my mission is twofold: to inspire, empower, and educate you both in and out of the gym. By not only focusing on how to train but also cultivating a mindset of learning and growth. This is complemented by nutrition coaching, empowering you to ditch restrictive diets, and find pleasure in your nutrition, to be able to master a sustainable approach tailored to your goals. The aim is to achieve and sustain your dream physique, find joy in balanced nutrition, gain clarity on training, and reignite self-confidence and self-love. Ultimately, unlocking your true potential in every aspect of your life.

In nutrition, my approach is grounded in simplicity and sustainability. I advocate for flexible dieting, empowering individuals to develop a healthy relationship with food. My goal is to teach you how to personalise your eating habits, aligning them with your objectives while enjoying the foods you love. By embracing this approach, you'll break free from restrictive diets and regain intuitive eating control.
When it comes to exercise and training, I believe in optimising body movement. I strongly endorse strength training for body re-composition, burning body fat, and enhancing overall health. It's not just about the physical benefits strength training provides you; it's about fortifying your mindset and shifting the focus from 'burning' calories in order to lose body fat to building strength and getting strong.
I prioritise overall health for wellness. Our daily stress levels, nutrition, sleep, activity, mindset, and behaviours collectively shape who we are. To achieve overall well-being, every aspect of life must be considered and integrated into our journey towards becoming the best version of ourselves.
